Eniwa Country Club  (Hokkaido) Eniwa Country Club  (Hokkaido)

The Eniwa Country Club features 27 holes – the Mashu, Akan and Shikotsu nines. This gorgeous woodland course is located at the foothills of Mount Kosekiyama. Carved out of an undulating terrain of white birch forest, the course challenges with its strategic water hazards, bunkers and undulating greens. The Shikotsu Course enjoys commanding views of Mount Eniwadake, while the Akan Course features the challenging 6th Hole, a 498-yard par 4. The 3rd Mashu Course is well regarded for its natural beauty. Tried and tested by the best, the club has hosted many professional tournaments on both the men and ladies Japan PGA, including the flagship Japan PGA Championship in 2009.

Golf at the exquisite Katsura Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. One of his personal favourites, this gorgeous parkland course is nestled in a forest of native Katsura pine. One of the most expansive and elegant courses in Hokkaido, the Katsura Golf Club features exquisite bent grass from tee to green. Greens here are fairly big and receptive but can trickle onto tight chipping areas. Though there are large landing areas off the tees, strategically located dry creeks, lakes and bunkers challenge even the best. No two holes run parallel on this idyllic and majestic course.

Situated in the heart of the Hokkaido hinterland, the North Country Club is a stunning championship course designed by renowned golfer Isao Aoki. This magnificent course is one of the few Japanese courses featuring bent grass turf from tee to green. The course is said to combine the beauty of Augusta with the challenge of Saint Andrews. It also regularly hosts the Shigeo Nagashima Invitational Sega Sammy Cup, a professional Japan Golf Tour event.

The Brooks Country Club is beautifully sculpted out of the native slopes of the terrain. The undulating fairways and greens on this authentic handmade course present distinct challenges throughout 18 holes. One of the tougher courses in Hokkaido, accurate judgment and courage is key here. In the first nine, the layout showcases a gorgeous contrast of white birch and Japanese pine trees, while the second nine is reminiscent of Scotland’s links courses.

The Nisupa Course hosted the Japan PGA Matchplay Championship 7 times and the Japan LPGA Konica Minolta Cup. Enjoy the slick bent grass greens on these courses.
